Home Visits

After qualifying through our pre-screening evaluation VA Dogs’ next step is to schedule a home visit. This is where we come to your residence, meet your family, pets, and friends, and really just get a feel for who you are and what you’re looking for in a dog. Our dogs can assist in many ways and we’d like to give you the best possible match.

PAIRING & TRAINING

After our home visit, we work to find you a dog that has completed training and is ready for a partner.
The dog will be matched to your personality. The approved applicants will require 3-4 weekends (this constitutes a Saturday and Sunday only) at our facility in Mountain Home, Texas to gain quality training and become familiar with basic dog training, and build rapport with your new service dog.

GRADUATION

Upon completion of training, you now have a full-fledged service dog. Our graduation comes with pictures, a certification, and two ID cards. Graduation is short and sweet so you can go about your day and enjoy your new partner.
